What does a Villager Franchisee have to do to operate their business?

1

Sell, sell, sell!

The most important part of being a Villager Franchisee is the ability to sell advertising and/or manage other people who sell advertising. This includes establishing long-lasting relationships with business owners. It also includes great follow up and effective sales abilities.
2

Communicate

Once the sale has been made, timely and detail-oriented communication is vital to providing great customer service. A Villager Franchisee will be responsible for ensuring their customers sign contracts, complete the ad design process, and make payments in a timely manner.
3

Proof ads thoroughly

While VFS has a multi-point process for the final proofing of each magazine, franchisees get final approval of their magazines before digital files get sent to the printer. Being a thorough proof-reader is key to accuracy and the high-quality service Villager advertisers are used to.
4

Keep great records

Just like with most businesses, keeping records up-to-date and accurate is essential for success. Updating sales and design status regularly is important too. VFS will take care of most things associated with production and distribution so franchisees can focus on sales and customer service.
